Playing Card Design

I love classic card design, so a while back I designed an ace of spades, and more recently an ace of hearts. I’ve included both below. I hope to eventually design a full deck over the coming months, and I’ll post up my efforts as I go.

Shouldn’t the middle section, too, be line-symmetrical, ie. look the same upside down?

That *IS* really good. I’m trying to create a classic card look as well. Could you let me know what software you used, how you made the logo, etc.? Just E-mail me at [email protected], if you’re willing to help me out. Thanks a ton.

I adore these designs, and would happily purchase a pack of the finished article. I’m with Jaft though, some insight into your design process would be a wonderful bonus. Not that i’m thinking of creating anything similar, I just find the means usually far more interesting than the end. [email protected].

Nice work. What does the Latin (I assume) mean?
As per previous comments, more of an insight into how you produced and design principles would be great.
